Charge Air Coolers

Heat exchangers to cool turbo-charged air prior to combustion are available from Serck in 2 forms; Finned block marine and industrial engine charge air coolers and brazed/ bonded aluminium for small and medium engines.

Design

Our design team utilise many years experience in heat exchange along with HTRI software to design the most efficient and cost effective heat exchanger for your process. We also use state of the art Solid Edge 3D CAD software which can communicate with any existing customer CAD packages. Serck Services also lead the UK market in the use of computation fluid dynamic analysis to hone the design of critical units.

Cleaning

Charge air cooler efficiency is easily compromised by even slight fouling of either internal or external surfaces. This is becoming more common as cooler sizes and fouling allowances decrease. Serck Services offer vibrasonic cleaning of marine charge air coolers and this method has proven to be very effective.
